Zheng Changming

Deputy General Manager、DPA and Director of Marine Technology

Born in 1979, graduated from Dalian Maritime University with a major in Nautical Science, an experienced captain, and intermediate professional technical title and an examiner for crew examinations at Hebei Maritime Bureau.

He has worked for well-known international shipping companies such as TAIWAN UNISON MARINE, GREECE, GOOD FAITH, TAIWAN SINCERE INDUSTRIAL, AMP (SHANGHAI), SEACON GROUP, etc. During his tenure as a captain, he mainly operated on routes to Australia, Europe and the United States, South and North America, the Caribbean region, as well as domestic routes to West Africa. The main cargoes were timber, grain, fertilizer, bauxite, copper ore, general cargo, coal, etc. While serving on the Australian and European routes, he was repeatedly inspected by AMSA and EU PSC checks and passed with Zero defects, successfully earning a good reputation for the company on these routes. He was also awarded the "QUALSHIP 21" issued by USCG for his dedication to team building and was honored with the title of "Excellent Captain" several times.

During his tenure as an ocean-going captain, he published several professional articles in magazines and corporate WeChat accounts. During the pandemic, he led crew members to fight the epidemic bravely and was awarded the title of "Seafarer Anti-epidemic Hero" by Hong Kong Maritime Office in 2021.

In June 2021, he attended the 11th World Seafarers' Day and delivered a report at the conference representing front-line captains.

In September 2021, he participated in the "The Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River traffic seperation schemes" propaganda conference held by Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration

In August 2022, he participated in the "Face-to-face between Merchant and Fishing Vessels" promotional activities organized by Hebei Maritime Safety Administration and gave speeches.

Captain Zheng is skilled in analysis and summary, enthusiastic about passing on nautical knowledge, and practices "mentoring" in earnest. He is down-to-earth, hardworking, and able to withstand hardship. He continues to innovate on the path of connecting theory with practice.
